European court orders Turkey to release philanthropist Osman Kavala

Europe's top human rights courts has ordered the release of philanthropist Osman Kavala, who is under life sentence in relation to a 2016 coup attempt. The ECHR found "structural shortcomings" in the Turkish judiciary. Turkey insists its courts are independent and impartial.
