Nigeria sets new date for presidential elections in 2027

Nigeria is Africa's most populous country and has been ruled by President Bola Tinubu since 2023. His term of office ends next year. The state electoral commission has now set the date for new elections. People will go to the polls a little earlier than previously expected.
