President of Congo-Brazzaville re-elected, extending 42-year rule

With a whopping 94.8% of the vote 82-year-old Denis Sassou-Nguesso has been reelected president of Congo against a backdrop of fragmented opposition, many disillusioned Congolese and an African trend of aging rulers clinging to power.
