Myanmar junta chief Min Aung Hlaing nominated in presidential process

Min Aung Hlaing, Myanmar's junta chief, has taken the next step in consolidating power by being replaced as military commander and securing a nomination as vice-presidential candidate. This paves the way for the coup leader to continue his rule in civilian garb.
