Ousted Myanmar president Win Myint released as part of mass amnesty

Win Myint, the Myanmar president detained along with Aung San Suu Kyi five years ago, has been amnestied by the ruling junta. Suu Kyi remains in jail. The mass amnesty affected 4,300 prisoners and follows the election of military head Min Aung Hlaing as president.
