AfD files complaint against Merz for 'ethnic cleansing' accusation

Under pressure after his CDU was soundly beaten by the anti-immigrant AfD in a weekend regional election, the German Chancellor Merz lashed out in the Bundestag, accusing them of seeking "ethnic cleansing". The AfD has now filed a criminal complaint alleging defamation.
