Bauhaus sees threat to artistic freedom ahead of German state election

The Bauhaus design institution has lashed out at the far-right AfD ahead of a key state election. The AfD for its part has described the Bauhaus as a "misguided part of modernism". The original Bauhaus shut down in 1933 amid condemnation from the Nazis that it was "degenerate".
