Bulgaria's government resigns after mass street protests

Responding to mass protests, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has resigned after insisting only a day previously that he would not go. The protests came in response to a tax-raising budget and ahead of the adoption of the euro in January.
