Conservative German leader calls for a "firewall" against the far left

The German political landscape is in turmoil over attempts to form a coalition following elections in the city-state of Berlin. The Left emerged victors, but with just 45 seats in the 153-seat chamber. It is seeking an alliance with Social Democrats and the Greens.
