EU lawmakers to no longer lose vote while on maternity leave

Members of the European Parliament who are pregnant or on maternity will in future be able to vote by proxy, if the 27 EU members ratify the measure adopted by the European Parliament. One MEP said losing one's vote in such circumstances is "anti-democratic".
