Some 1.5 million people turn out to watch Cologne's Pride Parade

Cologne’s Pride Parade was a sea of colour, music and people this year - but beneath the celebration ran a more uneasy current. For many on the streets, the day was also about visibility, resilience and the feeling that old hostilities are returning.
