Top German court insists state must check individual Afghan visa cases

Germany's Constitutional Court has delivered a setback to government plans to avoid taking in more Afghan migrants. Applications must be considered case-by-case, the court ruled. Berlin had earlier scrapped a special admissions programme for Afghans stuck in Pakistan.
