UK's House of Lords votes to remove hereditaries after 7 centuries

Hereditary peers will lose their seats in the House of Lords before the next King's Speech. Until now, 92 hereditary peers have been allowed to sit in the chamber, with 84 taking their seats. Initial reform was agreed 25 years ago, and the new measure completes the process.
