Brazil Senate blocks Supreme Court nominee for first time in 132 years

The Brazilian Supreme Court will have to continue with one fewer member, as the Senate rejected the nominee for the first time since 1894. It's a political setback for President Lula who lacks a stable majority in the Senate as he seeks reelection.
