Nicaraguan Indigenous leader imprisoned under Ortega dies in detention

A prominent Nicaraguan indigenous leader has died from a post-COVID infection after almost three years in detention. Brooklyn Rivera, an Amnesty Prisoner of Conscience, led the Miskito people in the north-east of the country in a fight to retain their land.
