Algeria clears way for potential pardon of jailed French journalist

French sports journalist Christophe Gleizes might soon see an end to his ordeal, as the highest Algerian court cleared the way for him to receive a presidential pardon. The Frenchman has been detained in Algeria for two years and a pardon is now the only way to freedom.
