Jordan resumes executions after nearly a decade with six hangings

Jordan has carried out executions for the first time in nearly a decade, hanging six men on Sunday. Officially recorded executions rose sharply last year as Iran increased executions. China is believed to make wide use of the death penalty, but figures are not available.
