Netanyahu: Israel 'will not withdraw' from Gaza as election looms

Israel plans to keep hold of around 60% of the territory of the Gaza Strip, PM Benjamin Netanyahu said as he visited a military base there. The visit comes as a tricky parliamentary looms in October, which is largely a referendum on Netanyahu’s nearly uninterrupted 17-year rule.
