NGOs report highest number of executions in Iran since 1989

The death penalty has been abolished in many countries. However, in some countries where it is still imposed, it is being carried out with increasing frequency. New figures have now been released for Iran and Saudi Arabia - and NGOs are warning of a further rise in executions.
